Ideas for creating something new. GREAT WHITE guitarist on why it's important to create something new. What does it mean - "Idea Generator"

Let's immediately check how creative you think.

Without hesitation and quickly name the poet, body part and fruit. Just read on after.

Most Russians will remember Pushkin or Yesenin, a nose or lips, an apple or an orange. This is due to a common cultural code. If you didn't mention any of the answers, congratulations: you are a creative person. If the answers matched, you should not despair - Creative skills can be developed.

Pitfalls of creativity

To make a discovery, you need to study a lot: understand the subject and not reinvent the wheel. The paradox is that it is knowledge that prevents discoveries.

Education is based on clichés "as it should be" and on a list of "as it should be" prohibitions. These fetters hinder creativity. To come up with something new is to look at a known object from an unusual angle, without prohibitions and restrictions.

Once a student at the University of California, George Danzig, was late for a lecture. There was an equation on the board. George thought it was homework. He puzzled over it for several days and was very worried that he had submitted the decision late.

A couple of days later, an excited university professor knocked on George's door. It turned out that George accidentally proved theorems that dozens of mathematicians, starting with Einstein, struggled to solve.

The teacher wrote the theorems on the blackboard as an example of unsolvable problems. Other students were sure that there was no answer, and did not even try to find it.

Albert Einstein said: “Everyone knows it's impossible. But here comes an ignoramus who does not know this - it is he who makes the discovery.

“Everyone knows it's impossible. But here comes an ignoramus who does not know this - it is he who makes the discovery.

In 1951, psychologist Solomon Asch asked Harvard students to "test their eyesight." To a group of seven people, he showed the cards, and then asked questions about them. The correct answers were obvious.

Of the seven people, only one was a participant in the experiment. Six others worked as decoys. They deliberately chose the wrong answers.

The real member always answered last. He was sure the others were wrong. But when it was his turn, he obeyed the opinion of the majority and answered incorrectly.

We choose ready-made answers not because we are weak or stupid. The brain spends a lot of energy on solving a problem, and all the reflexes of the body are aimed at preserving it. Ready-made answers save resources.

We automatically drive a car, pour coffee, close the apartment, choose the same brands. If we thought about every action, we would get tired faster. But to exit unusual situation I have to fight my lazy mind.

Standard responses do not move forward. The world is constantly evolving, and we are waiting for new products.

Mark Zuckerberg would not have created Facebook if he was sure that forums are enough for people to communicate.

Making chocolate in the shape of an egg or pouring milk into a bag instead of a bottle means breaking the stereotypes in your head. It is this ability to combine the incompatible that helps to come up with new, more convenient and useful things.

Collective creative

According to research Northwestern University United States, over the past 50 years, the level of discoveries made by groups of scientists has increased by 95%.

The reason is the complication of processes and the increase in the amount of information. If the inventors of the first airplane, the brothers Wilbur Wright and Orville Wright, assembled a flying machine together, today a Boeing engine alone requires hundreds of workers. If earlier the business consisted of one or two trading shops, today companies own points all over the world.

When people express ideas, you can not criticize, ridicule and intimidate the authorities

brainstorming method

In Guided Imagination, Alex Osbourne described brainstorming method.

During World War II, Alex Osborne served as an officer on a ship carrying military supplies to Europe. The ships were defenseless against enemy torpedo attacks. On one of the voyages, Alex invited the sailors to come up with the craziest ideas on how to protect the ship from torpedoes.

One of the sailors joked that all sailors should stand on board and blow on a torpedo to knock it off course. Thanks to this fantastic idea, underwater fans were installed on the sides of the vessel. When a torpedo approached, they created a powerful jet that "blowed" the danger to the side.

We have probably heard about brainstorming, perhaps even used it. But they definitely forgot about the main rule of brainstorming: when people express ideas, one should not criticize, ridicule and intimidate the authorities. If the sailors were afraid of the officer, no one would joke - they would never have found a solution. Fear stops creativity.

Proper brainstorming is carried out in three stages.

Training: identify the problem.

Creative: prohibit criticism, collect as many ideas as possible.

Selection: analyze the results, select 2-3 ideas and apply them.

Brainstorming works when employees of different levels participate in the discussion. Not one manager and subordinates, but several department heads and subordinates. Fear of looking foolish in the face of superiors and condemnation from a superior makes it difficult to express fresh ideas.

You can't say it's a bad idea. You can’t reject an idea because “it’s funny”, “nobody does it like that” and “how are you going to implement it”. Only constructive criticism is helpful.

In 2003, Charlan Nemeth, a professor of psychology at the University of California, conducted an experiment.

265 students were divided into three groups and offered to solve the problem of traffic jams in San Francisco.

The first group worked on a brainstorming system - no criticism at the creative stage. The second group was allowed to argue. The third group received no conditions.

The group where the participants debated during the discussion came up with 20% more ideas than their opponents. After finishing, each member was asked if they would like to add a couple more ideas. Members of the first and third proposed 2-3 ideas each. The girls from the group of debaters named seven ideas each.

Evaluate each other's ideas should not be colleagues, but a third, disinterested person - then brainstorming will work

Criticism-argument helps to see the shortcomings of the idea and find clues for the implementation of new ideas. Brainstorming doesn't work if the discussion is subjective: you don't like the idea, but you like the person who said it. And vice versa. Evaluate each other's ideas should not be colleagues, but a third, disinterested person. The problem is finding it.

Three chair technique

Walt Disney came up with the solution - he developed three chair technique. The great cartoonist brainstormed like this:

There is a non-standard task. Imagine three chairs. One participant mentally takes the first chair and becomes "dreamer". He comes up with the most fantastic methods for solving problems.

The second sits on a chair "realist" and describes how he would bring the ideas of the "dreamer" to life. The participant tries on this role regardless of how he himself relates to the idea. His task is to assess the difficulties and opportunities.

The last chair is "critic". He evaluates the proposals of the "realist". Decides which resources can be used in a manifestation. Weeds out ideas that do not fit the conditions, and chooses the best one.

The application of this method takes 15 minutes of working time. The main thing in any collective method is to listen to the group member. Each thought is a step on the way to solving the problem.

The Recipe of a Genius

Creativity is laws, not talents. It's not the ability to see the table chemical elements in a dream. These are specific techniques that help stir up consciousness.

If you feel like you can't think creatively, then your imagination is sleeping. You can wake him up. Methods, schemes and theories on creative development a lot of. It doesn't matter which method you choose for yourself. There is general rules, which will help in any creative search.

Clearly articulate. Correctly question asked contains most of the answer. Do not ask yourself: "What to do?" Imagine the result you want to get and think about how you can achieve it. Knowing what you need to get in the final, it is much easier to look for the answer.

Fight prohibitions. Don't take my word for it. The problem is not solvable if you tried and failed. Do not use ready-made answers: they are like ready-made products - they will solve the problem of hunger, but they will do it with less health benefits.

Combine the incompatible. Come up with something new every day: change the route to work, find common ground between a raven and a desk, count the number of red coats on the way to the subway. These strange tasks train the brain to quickly go beyond the usual and look for suitable solutions.

Respect colleagues. Listen to the opinions of those who are working on a task near you. Even if their ideas seem absurd. They can be the impetus for your discoveries and help you move in the right direction.

Realize the idea. Unrealized ideas are worth nothing. Coming up with an interesting move is not as difficult as putting it into practice. If the move is unique, there are no tools or research for it. It is possible to realize it only at your own peril and risk. Creative solutions require courage, but bring the most desired results.

I noticed that the most common question I got in my inbox was "how do you come up with cool new ideas every week?". So I decided to try to answer this question here.

This post will go through the process of finding ideas for my games, but I think it can be applied to almost any game as well. creative work.

Use limits

Once you know you want to create something, the next step is to decide what to create. However, there are so many possibilities and so many choices to do so that it's hard to pinpoint a specific idea. Because of this, many people change their minds over and over and end up with nothing.

One powerful tool for getting around this trap is the use of constraints. With constraints, you artificially eliminate a lot of ideas, and having fewer options means it's easier to pick an idea. So instead of focusing on your idea, try picking out constraints that you find interesting.

Here are the limits I've used so far to make 12 games:

  • Each game must be completed in approximately 7 days
  • Every game uses retro graphics that I create myself.
  • Each game will follow a theme that I will define in advance (for example: a platformer game)

People might think that having these restrictions makes my job harder, but it's actually the other way around.

Start right now

At this point, you should have a vague idea of what you want to do, but nothing specific. Should you start brainstorming this way to find a great idea? Well, there's one problem: you may never find the perfect idea.

Instead of brainstorming, start implementing your bare idea right now. Do something really simple or get inspired by something similar. Anyway, since you don't know exactly what you're creating, it's likely to end up with something unimportant. And that's okay, you'll worry about making your idea interesting later.

For my platform game, I quickly started coding the most basic elements of the game:

No original ideas were involved. The game was pretty bad, but I had something to play with.

Iterate

Now that you have a finished naked prototype, it's time to improve it. This part may be the most difficult and time consuming to create, but it is also the most interesting.

Here's how it works: have a small idea, implement it, test it, improve it, and iterate again. Some ideas will turn out bad, some will need a lot of tweaking, and others will turn out great. Just keep iterating with new ideas until you have something you like.

I will try to show you this process on one of my ideas that I had for my platformer game:

  • Adding coins to games adds interest, so I coded the coins
  • Looked pretty but was wrong because the coins weren't used anywhere
  • To fix this I changed the rules of the game: to finish the level you must collect all the coins
  • Much better but now I had to redo some of the levels to accommodate this change

Just a small idea like "adding coins" ended up completely changing my whole game. You can play my platformer if you want.

Conclusion

Summary: use constraints, start now, and iterate.

With such a system, finding ideas is actually not that difficult. It still takes work and imagination, but eventually you'll have ideas and, more importantly, you'll have something you like.

GREAT WHITE guitarist Mark Kendall recently spoke to The Great Southern Brainfart - short excerpts are below.

Michael Wagener produced your latest album and really captured the spirit of the band's more classic sound. Did it happen naturally or did he play a role in it?

“There was no such intention, because we wrote exactly the same as always. We didn't change anything. Obviously, the production is of the highest order. When you walk into his studio, you can be blinded by the glare of the platinum records. He works with everyone. For example, he makes you feel free. When he works with you, he makes you feel comfortable. We played great and he did everything to make us feel very comfortable.”

I am sure that his old-fashioned way of working suited you much better than the trend of young producers.

"Exactly. It doesn't use Auto-Tune and the like. He just tells you to play until everything is done right. He says: "Don't sing exactly!" (laughs). I want to believe and trust my ears, and when I hear something and if it sounds good, then it is good. If the computer says that everything is not very good, then so what? We are not computers. We are human and we like the way music sounds. If it sounds good, then it's good. If you start thinking like a computer, then you will sound like a machine. It's always good for us when we all play together. And it has nothing to do with computers."

How did you record, digital or analogue?

“It's not a problem for me to write on a computer. I love doing it. It's just a faster way. When we were working with 2" tape, it took a very long time to make small adjustments. And now a couple of mouse clicks - and you're done. So the recording can now be done very quickly. This allows the whole process to go fairly smoothly and you don't get interrupted - I just hate those huge breaks for something. I like to live in the moment while there is energy.

As a veteran of the scene, you've seen its ups and downs. What do you think of the current state?

“Now you need to have enough people in your team who are well acquainted with the Internet realities. Now it's much more difficult to get your music out to people, because there are no more means that we used to use before. We're not on radio or MTV every five seconds across the country. When all this was gone, we still had fans, and we still play shows, but many of those who come may not be aware that we have a new album out. I'm completely into new music, because every time it's a challenge for us, an opportunity to improve. This is our foundation and the main reason why we are still here. We want to keep writing and keep doing good things and maybe even do something even better than we did last time. There aren't many forums for new music, but when people hear our latest album, they speak very warmly about it. We try our best to make our music heard. We have a history that we are proud of, but in order to maintain the necessary share of energy, we must create new material.

We are what we do all the time.
And perfection is not an act, but a habit.
~ Aristotle

Scientists have long suggested that for those with even a little willpower, it takes about 30 days to form a new habit. As with any new venture, the most important thing is to get started and overcome the first awkward steps. This is 80% success. That is why it is so important to make small but positive changes in your life for at least 30 days.

You've heard the old saying, "How do you eat an elephant? One piece at a time"? The same applies to changing own life. If you try to bite off more than you can chew, you will only choke. But by biting off a little at a time – for example, by starting to eat a little healthier, exercise a little more, reorganize your workflow a little – you yourself will not notice how the elephant is swallowed and the goal is achieved.

Below you will find 30 challenges that can be completed within 30 days. I can testify that each of them has the potential to create a new positive habit in your life. Yes, some of them slightly overlap each other. And no, you don't have to take on all 30 challenges at the same time. It is better to choose from 2 to 5 trials for the next 30 days - but take them with all your heart. And once you're fully comfortable with them, choose a few others for yourself next month.

  1. Use words that promote happiness. “Usually when I ask someone 'How are you' they get back something like 'Fine' or 'Fine'. But one sleepy Monday morning, my colleague answered a similar question, “Just great!” It made me smile and then think. I asked him what was so wonderful about him, and he replied: “Well, I’m healthy, my family is in order, and we live in a free country. Isn't that wonderful"? But the difference between his life and mine was in the smallest thing - the attitude towards this very life. His life was not necessarily better than the others, but he looked twenty times happier than theirs. Therefore, try to use more words that cause smiles on faces in the next 30 days.
  2. Try to try something new every day. “Variety adds spice to life. You can see or do something a million times, but the first time only once. Our first impressions often leave a mark on our minds for the rest of our lives. Try to learn or experience something new every day for the next 30 days. It can be anything from a new hobby to a conversation with a stranger. And as soon as you get the taste - believe me, these new experiences will sooner or later open the door for you to the whole world new opportunities that can change your life.
  3. Try to do something selfless every day.. - No wonder they say - what you sow, you will reap. And when you positively influence someone else's life, you also change yours. Do something selfless, something that will make someone else happy, or at least less unhappy. I promise it will be a very pleasant experience. Perhaps one that you will remember for the rest of your life. Of course, your choices in this regard are limitless, but if you can help someone and it doesn't cost you anything, do it.
  4. Learn and practice one new skill every day. - If you can rely on yourself in any situation, then you will certainly live a happy and productive life. And in order to rely on yourself, you need to acquire as much as possible large quantity useful skills, becoming a kind of jack of all trades. And despite all those stories that jacks of all trades, they say, are good for nothing, in fact they are much more adapted to life than specialists in any one narrow field. Plus, learning new skills is fun.
  5. Teach someone something new every day. We all have our natural strengths and talents that can greatly help the people around us. What is easy for you may be quite difficult for others. We take these gifts of fate for granted, often barely realizing how much we have to offer other people, and therefore rarely share something with them. But these invaluable gifts can help us sow happiness and the will to live around us. What do people most often thank you for? What do they most often ask you to help with? Most of the hobbies and inner talents can somehow help those who are in their circle of friends. For you, this may be drawing, teaching math, the ability to cook delicious meals, or even being a teacher of some courses. Try to share your talents and experiences with others over the next 30 days.
  6. Set aside at least an hour every day for what you are truly passionate about.. Don't forget to pursue your hobbies. It could be anything. Some people enjoy participating in the political life of their city, others find solace in faith, others participate in clubs that unite people with similar hobbies, and for some, their hobby may be the most important thing in life. But each of these cases is actually similar to the others. All these people are doing something they are really passionate about. And this passion fills their lives with happiness and meaning.
  7. Be kind to everyone. Even to those who are rude to you.- If you talk kindly to someone who does not like you, this does not mean that you hide your feelings. Rather, it means that you are a truly adult person, and are able to control them. Treat everyone around you with kindness and respect, even those who do not treat you well - not because they good people but because you are that kind of person. Try to behave in this way for the next 30 days, and little by little you will see how the roughness around you slowly dissipates.
  8. Try to always keep a positive attitude. “Truly successful people always try to be optimistic. They cultivated the ability to independently create their own happiness and the desire to create. No matter what situation you find yourself in, remember that every successful singer was once an ordinary girl who always managed to find the positive in her life. She knows that every mistake is just an opportunity for personal growth and a chance to learn something new. Optimistic thinkers see the world as a place chock-full of endless possibilities, especially in difficult times. Try to look at the bright side of this world for the next 30 days.
  9. Always be grateful for the lessons life situations teach you.. – It is important to remember that whatever you encounter is a life lesson. Everyone you meet, everything you happen to encounter, and so on. All this is part of that huge life lesson that we just call life. Try to always be grateful for him, especially when things don't go the way you want them to. And if you didn’t get the job you dreamed of, or personal relationships didn’t lead to anything serious, it just means that somewhere ahead of you, much better options await you. And the lesson you just learned is just the first step on the way to that better option. Try for the next 30 days to write down in your diary all the lessons that life has taught you.
  10. Pay attention to your life - and enjoy it. “When I watched the Oscars a few months ago, I realized that most of the speeches given by award-winning actors and actresses began something like this: “This means so much to me. My whole life seemed to lead up to this moment.” But do you know what the truth is? The life of each of us leads to this moment. Yes, yes, to this very moment in which we are now. Think about it. Everything you have done in your life - bad, good and neutral - has led you to where you are now. Ask yourself how much you really live your life? And if you're like most people, the answer is likely to be, "Not enough." So try to focus a little less on achieving something and more on just living. Remember, we live in the moment. Life is here and now. So try to spend the next 30 days living truly.
  11. Try to get rid of at least one thing a day for the next 30 days.– We live every moment of our lives surrounded by a huge amount of garbage and unnecessary things – and it doesn’t matter where we are at that moment (at work, in the car, at home or somewhere else). We are so used to it that we do not even notice how it affects us. But if you clear out the outer rubbish, a good deal of the inner rubbish will go with it. So try to choose one unnecessary item every day, and get rid of it in one way or another. In fact, it is very simple, although at first it may not seem so to you. But sooner or later you will get rid of your "squirrel syndrome", and your mind cleared of trash will say "thank you".
  12. Try to create something new in these 30 days. “Creating something new…ah, that feeling is like no other.” Using your own creativity to the fullest and creating something new with your own hands gives you an inexpressibly pleasant feeling of completion, which simply does not exist. The only "but" - you have to create something that you really like. If you spend all day making financial investment plans for your clients, hating every second of the process, then it doesn't count. But if you find a hobby that you really enjoy and create something related to it, it can change your whole life. And if you haven’t created anything with your own hands lately just because you feel like it, give it a try. Set your creativity free – at least for the next 30 days.
  13. For the next 30 days, don't lie a single word.. - Yes, it may seem difficult, if not impossible, because “white”, “innocent” lies often pour out of us in a continuous stream. But you can. Stop deceiving yourself and others, speak, looking for words coming from the heart, speak the truth.
  14. Try to wake up 30 minutes earlier every day. – Try to wake up 30 minutes earlier every day so that you don’t run in the morning like a rabbit bitten by a kangaroo. Those 30 minutes will help you avoid speeding tickets, late arrivals, and other unnecessary headaches. Try it - at least for the same 30 days - and see how it affects your life.
  15. Get rid of 3 bad habits in the next 30 days. Are you eating too much junk food? Do you play too many video games? Quarreling with your relatives? In general, you yourself know your bad habits. Choose 3 of them and try to get rid of them in the next 30 days. Dot.
  16. Try to watch TV for no more than half an hour a day. “Better entertain yourself with something from the real world. Most best memories remain with us from the wonderful events that happen to us in real life, and only in it. So turn off your TV (or computer if you watch TV on it) and go outside. Gaze at the world, enjoy nature, embrace the simple joys life has to offer, and just watch it unfold before you.
  17. Set a single worthwhile goal for yourself and work on it for at least an hour a day. Break down your big, big goal into small pieces, and focus on doing one piece at a time. Yes, like this, taking one step at a time will get you there the fastest, but taking the first step is usually the hardest. Aim for the next 30 days to spend at least one hour a day doing something you've always wanted to achieve. Take your dream and make it a reality.
  18. Read one chapter of a good book every day. – Now, when the Internet opens before us an endless stream of information, articles, dialogues and discussions, people are spending more and more time reading online. Nevertheless, all this cannot replace the wisdom of some classic books, verified over the years, which share (and will share) their wisdom for many generations. Books open many doors, both in your mind and in your life. Search online for a list of classic books and visit your local library. And then spend the next 30 days reading at least one chapter a day until you've finished the entire book. And then choose another one. And further. And further.
  19. Try to watch or read something every morning that will inspire you to new achievements.. - Sometimes, in order to fill yourself with energy for the next day, you need a little. And so for the next 30 days, before 3 and go out, watch a motivational video, or read something (quotes, blog post, short story) that can inspire you.
  20. Do something every afternoon that will make you smile. – Watch a funny video clip on YouTube, read your favorite comic, or find a couple of fresh jokes online. Healthy laughter stimulates your mind and replenishes your energy reserves. And it's best to do this after lunch, when you need a burst of energy the most.
  21. Avoid alcohol and drugs for the next 30 days. How difficult this test will be is up to you. If you are subject to alcoholism or drug addiction, it is not recommended to try to quit this addiction on your own. See a doctor who can help you stop substances slowly and gently. But if you only drink occasionally or "dabble" with drugs at parties, try to give it up for at least the next 30 days. Believe me, if you want to cheer up, there are healthier ways to do this.
  22. Exercise for at least 30 minutes every day. Your health is your life. Don't miss it. Eat right, exercise, and don't forget your health checks.
  23. Try to find yourself in an uncomfortable, fearful situation every day.“By adopting a strategy of small forays into unfamiliar and uncomfortable territory, we often manage to get around the biggest obstacle to positive change - fear. Sometimes we are afraid that nothing will work out for us. Sometimes we fear that we will succeed and have to deal with all the change and growth that success will bring to our lives. Sometimes we are afraid of rejection or afraid of looking stupid. The best way to conquer fear is to face it face to face. Face your fear, feel it in your mind, become aware of it and figure out what to do next. Greet him by name if you like. Hello Fear. Fear can be your friend if you learn to face it fearlessly, and listen to it only when it fulfills its true purpose - to warn you of danger. For the next 30 days, try to spend at least an hour a day dealing with the fear that is holding you back.
  24. Cook one new, healthy meal every day. - Cooking is not only fun, but also healthy - properly prepared food will provide your body with the necessary nutrients and vitamins. In general, a useful activity, whatever one may say. So find cookbook more voluminous - and forward to conquer the culinary Olympus! Try to cook at least one new and healthy meal every day for the next 30 days.
  25. Take 10 minutes every day to remember what happened to you today. For the next 30 days, spend 10 minutes every day reflecting on the small successes that happened to you today. This will help you to remind yourself how lucky you really are in life, and to understand how much better you are today compared to the day before.
  26. Try to talk to someone every day that you don't normally talk to.. – People are very interesting creatures, and you will never find people who are alike, like two peas in a pod. Communicating with different people, you open your time to new ideas and perspectives. So try to talk every day for the next 30 days with someone you don't normally talk to, or even a stranger. Find out who these people are.
  27. Pay off your debts in the next 30 days and don't start new ones.. - Live within your means. Don't buy things you don't need. If you are contemplating a major purchase, consider it as carefully as possible. Make a budget for yourself, a savings plan, and stick to them. In the next 30 days, pay for the item in cash and consider every expense - even a penny.
  28. Give up at least one relationship that does not bring you anything useful. - Try to keep close to you only those people who really love you, motivate, inspire you, make you better and happier. And if someone you know doesn't do any of the above, isn't it time to get rid of them, making room in your life for positive relationships. So if there is a person in your life who constantly hurts you and only takes from you without giving anything in return, try to get rid of him in the next 30 days.
  29. Forgive those who deserve a second chance. “Sometimes good relationships end just because of our inflated egos and single fights. And if there is someone in your life who deserves a second chance, give them one. Try in the next 30 days to fit into your common history new chapter.
  30. Document each day with one photo and one paragraph of text.. – For the next 30 days, take your camera with you wherever you go. Try to take one photo every day that best represents that day. And before you go to bed, write in your diary one paragraph at a time that best describes your day. If done digitally, you can even combine photo and text (for example, in a personal blog), making it easier to view in the future. And many years later, this collection of old photographs and records may well remind you of pleasant memories that you would otherwise simply forget.

As you progress through these trials, remember that it is a slow, painstaking process. It cannot be forced. You have to work on it every day. Believe me, you still have enough time to become what you want. And don't settle for less than you deserve, or less than what you're capable of. And most importantly, no matter what challenges you face along the way, never give up. You are braver than you think, stronger than you look, and smarter than you think. You are at least twice as capable as the maximum that you have determined for yourself.

Hello dear readers. In this article, we will share our thoughts on how to create something new, as well as analyze an interesting moment from the anime Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Sometimes we face difficulties in life. We feel completely alone because of these difficulties. Perhaps we are not as sociable as everyone else, or we may have some kind of disease. Something that makes us "different" from the rest.

And nowhere, it seems, is there a place where everything would suit us, where we would be accepted. So you can lose heart, thinking that "life just cheated me with something and that's it."

But what if our difference, which seems like a "punishment" is actually gift? What if it's a problem that just we need to decide(which means it is quite normal that we are like this) and is it possible to help others in this? That is, if we have depression, then we need to set ourselves the goal of finding a way out of depression, if we can’t start relationships with the opposite sex, then we need to learn, and then as they say:

Save yourself and thousands around you will be saved.

A similar situation, in my opinion, is shown in the anime "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya", in which the main character (Haruhi) did not like everything, the world seemed boring and monotonous to her. Let's give the dialogue of the main characters:

Haruhi: I thought it would be a little better in high school with clubs, but it's the same as in the compulsory education system - maybe I just got the wrong school... There's a detective investigation club. Kyon (Haruhi's classmate): So how do you like him? Haruhi (disappointed): Ah, funny people. They still haven't investigated a single real case. The members of the circle are ordinary fans of detectives and among them there is not a single detective, they are not even looking for one. Kyon: It's a common thing... Haruhi: I hoped so much for the supernatural study group, but only occult-obsessed psychos gather there - a nightmare, huh? Kyon: What do you say? Haruhi: AAAA! - what a bore! Even if idiots sit in such circles - what to say about the rest? Kyon: Well, there's absolutely nothing to be done - after all, people should be content with what they have and say thank you for having at least this ... As for those who are dissatisfied, it is they who make discoveries - they invent something and contribute in every possible way progress of civilizations. Who loves to travel invents cars and trains. Whoever wants to fly constructs airplanes and spaceships... And all this came to us thanks to a handful of people with a sharp rational mind. In other words, everything that we have we owe to these geniuses, these eternally dissatisfied ...

So, it turns out that Haruhi was interested in something, but she could not find support from others in this, so she remained alone.

But after Kyon’s words, she just decided to open something of her own (her own circle), where she could realize your ideas. Interesting, in my opinion.

It's funny what expression Haruhi had before she created "Team Sos":

rice. one

And what happened after, when she was captured by the idea of creating her own circle:

rice. 2
