In the port of Korsakov, after crossing from Vladivostok, a new patrol ship"Patrol". The vessel with a helipad, built at Vostochnaya Verf, became part of the Border Directorate of the FSB of Russia for the Sakhalin Region. This was reported by the press service of the governor and the government of the Sakhalin region.

According to the ship's commander, second-rank captain Oleg Gabidullin, the ship is capable of operating in any weather conditions.

"Patrol" is already the second vessel of this class, built for the Sakhalin border guards. The first ship serves on the Kuril coast and is based mainly on Shikotan.

In addition, over the past three years, modern high-speed boats "Mongoose" and the ship "Coral" have been transferred to the Sakhalin border department.

"Sentinel" is capable of solving the entire range of tasks of the Coast Guard. He will fight against violators of state borders, ensure the economic security of the region and the country.
