How to draw a lego man

Hello! Today we will draw a man from the Lego constructor. Figures of people in Lego were drawn in different ways at different times, but their design and shape always remain the same. This head, arms, legs and torso are familiar and, and - the Danish giant of the toy industry has made sure that its products are always recognizable.

True, the engineers of the Lego corporation took care not only of this - the hallmark of their products has always been the very, very high quality of each product, each block of the designer. let's try how to draw a lego man step by step!

Step 1

We will not draw a stickman this time, we will build a silhouette of a man from geometric shapes. Let's denote the head as a square, and depict the body as a prism. There is something in common with the lessons.

Step 2

Surely everyone remembers the shape of the curved arms of lego men. Now let's draw a couple of these - the nearest one from us can be seen entirely, it bends, but practically does not become thinner from the shoulder to the wrist; we see the left hand from us only partially, respectively, we draw the part visible to us in the form of a hollow cylinder.

Here we outline the contours of the legs - at the very base, that is, at the junction with the body, they bend quite strongly, then they are completely straight.

Step 3

There are quite a lot of actions at this stage, but we will perform them, firstly, in stages, and secondly, along a certain vector - from top to bottom, that is, from head to toe. First, draw the contours of the hairstyle - use smooth lines, given that they should be at a sufficient distance from the contours of the head. Next, draw the eyes, just a couple of ovals and a mouth - it looks like a regular smiley. By the way, Lego figures usually do not have it. We draw a short but wide neck and move on.

On the front end of the body, draw an inverted isosceles triangle, from the lower vertex of which we draw a vertical line. In the lower part of the body there is a very wide border, which runs along both the front and side faces.

Next, draw the brushes. Again, a very recognizable detail, everyone remembers those characteristic Lego man hands. It is better to start drawing them from semicircles, that is, first mark the brushes with one line, and then circle them with volumetric contours.

We complete this stage by drawing the legs closest to us. First, we draw a vertical face parallel to the initial one, then we draw a rectangle - a “foot” from the front end. Next, draw a parallelogram on the bottom of the leg to show that it is hollow.

Step 4

We erase the extra lines from the head, we overwrite the lower edge, not reaching the edges. We paint over the eyes, leaving no glare. We turn over the mouth, along the edges outlining the line of junction of the upper and lower jaws. We outline the outer contours of the hair with clear, bold lines, lighter lines - this is necessary to emphasize the effect of the “wig”, that is, the fact that all hair is one plastic part.

We draw your attention - the corners must be smoothed, there should not be sharp corners at all, as on the cases and.

Step 5

We continue to detail our Lego man, moving from top to bottom. And now it's the turn of the body. Inside the triangle we draw a tie, a little below the collar we draw pockets - ordinary rectangles. The bottom border, which we drew a couple of steps ago, is a belt, so in this step we designate the buckle and straps. Naturally, schematically, with the help of rectangles and a square.

Step 6

Ok, now we outline the hands, in fact, consisting of two parts - the wrist and the rest of the arm, which includes the shoulder and forearm. Therefore, we outline the contours with smooth, clear lines, not forgetting about the borders - on the right hand from us they are present in the region of the sleeve and the upper part of the brush, and on the left hand only in the region of the brush (note that the line there is shorter than the line of the brush itself).

Step 7

We frame the legs with straight, clear lines, draw a hole on the conditional “foot”. Actually, after that we can assume that the drawing is ready, it remains only to apply shadows to make it look more complete.

The shadows here are superimposed in two stages, but they are very simple - first we outline the outline of the shadow, and then we shade it. In all places, except for the hole on the inner side of the foot, the hatching is single-layered - ordinary oblique lines.
