The use of gears more than 2,000 years ago is a matter of great astonishment, and the skill with which they were made is comparable to the art of watchmaking in the 18th century. In recent years, several working copies of the ancient computer have been created. One of them was made by Austrian computer specialist Allan George Bromley (1947-2002) from the University of Sydney and watchmaker Frank Percival. Bromley also took the clearest X-ray photographs of the object, which served as the basis for his student Bernard Garner to create a three-dimensional model of the mechanism. A few years later, the British inventor, author of the orrery (a tabletop demonstration mechanical planetarium - a model of the solar system) John Gleave designed a more accurate model: on the front panel of the working model there was a dial that displayed the movement of the Sun and Moon along the zodiacal constellations of the Egyptian calendar.

Another attempt to examine and recreate the artifact was made in 2002 by Michael Wright, curator of the mechanical engineering department of the science museum, together with Allan Bromley. Although some of the results of Wright's research differed from the work of Derek De Solla Price, he concluded that the mechanism was an even more amazing invention than Price had imagined. In substantiating his theory, Wright relied on x-rays of the object and used the method of so-called linear tomography. This technology allows you to see an object in detail, looking at only one of its planes or edges, clearly focusing the image. Thus, Wright was able to carefully study the gears and establish that the device could accurately simulate not only the movement of the Sun and Moon, but also all the planets known to the ancient Greeks: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Apparently, thanks to the bronze marks placed in a circle on the front panel of the artifact, which indicated the zodiacal constellations, the mechanism could (and quite accurately) calculate the position of the known planets in relation to any date. In September 2002, Wright completed the model and it became part of the Ancient Technologies exhibition at the Technopark of the Athens Museum.

Many years of research, attempts to reconstruct and various assumptions have not given an exact answer to the question: how the Antikythera mechanism worked. There were theories that it served astrological functions and was used to computerize horoscopes, created as an educational model of the solar system, or even as an elaborate toy for the rich. Derek De Solla Price considered the mechanism evidence of the established traditions of high metal processing technology among the ancient Greeks. In his opinion, when Ancient Greece fell into decline, this knowledge was not lost - it became the property of the Arab world, where similar mechanisms later appeared, and later created the foundation for the development of watchmaking technology in medieval Europe. Price believed that at first the device was in the statue, on a special display. The mechanism may once have been housed in a structure similar to the stunning octagonal marble Tower of the Winds with water clock located on the Roman Agora in Athens.

Research and attempts to recreate the Antikythera mechanism forced scientists to look at the description of devices of this type in ancient texts from a different point of view. Previously, it was believed that references to mechanical astronomical models in the works of ancient authors should not be taken literally. It was assumed that the Greeks had a general theory, rather than specific knowledge of mechanics. However, after the discovery and study of the Antikythera mechanism, this opinion should change. Roman orator and writer Cicero, who lived and worked in the 1st century. BC e., that is, during the period when the shipwreck occurred at Antikythera, talks about the invention of his friend and teacher, the previously mentioned Posidonius. Cicero says that Posidonius recently created a device “which, with each revolution, reproduces the movement of the Sun, Moon and five planets, occupying a certain place in the sky every day and night.” Cicero also mentions that the astronomer, engineer and mathematician Archimedes of Syracuse (287-212 BC) “is rumored to have made a small model of the solar system.” The device may also be related to the speaker's remark that the Roman consul Marcelius was very proud of the fact that he had a model of the solar system designed by Archimedes himself. He took it as a trophy in Syracuse, located on the east coast of Sicily. It was during the siege of the city, in 212 BC. BC, Archimedes was killed by a Roman soldier. Some researchers believe that the astronomical instrument recovered from the shipwreck off Antikythera was designed and created by Archimedes. However, what is certain is that one of the most stunning artifacts of the ancient world, the real Antikythera mechanism, is today in the collection of the National Archaeological Museum in Athens and, together with the reconstructed example, is part of its exhibition. A copy of the ancient device is also on display at the American Computer Museum in Bozeman (Montana). The discovery of the Antikythera mechanism clearly challenged the generally accepted understanding of the scientific and technological achievements of the ancient world.

Reconstructed models of the device proved that it served as an astronomical computer, and Greek and Roman scientists of the 1st century. BC e. They quite skillfully designed and created complex mechanisms that had no equal for thousands of years. Derek De Solla Price noted that civilizations with the technology and knowledge necessary to create such mechanisms "could build almost anything they wanted." Unfortunately, most of what they created has not survived. The fact that the Antikythera mechanism is not mentioned in ancient texts that have survived to this day proves how much has been lost from that important and amazing period of European history. And if it weren't for the sponge catchers 100 years ago, we wouldn't have this evidence of scientific advances in Greece 2000 years ago.

Typically, professional mineral hunters do not break geodes at the discovery site (the crystals inside can be severely damaged), but open them with a diamond saw. So, Mike, near Lake Owens, near Mount Coso, found a geode covered with the bark of fossilized turtles, and his friends took it with them to saw them at home. When Meixell began sawing his find, it became clear that this time he would have to forget about the crystals - there was no emptiness inside the geode. Instead, there was some strange substance there, somewhat similar to ceramics. In the center of this ceramic mass, a cut of a metal rod with a diameter of 2 mm made of white metal was visible.

“In cross-section, the geode had the following appearance: under the ball of turtles there was a small prism with a regular hexagonal base, 32 mm in diameter, made of soft and fragile material; it contains a copper spiral, which most likely ran along the entire length of the prism and was partially corroded; the spiral, in turn, covered an extremely hard ceramic rod with a diameter of 18 mm, through which a metal rod with a diameter of 2 mm passed,” - this is the description of this find given in the book “Mysteries of Antiquity” by G.E. Burgansky and R.S. Furdui.

Of course, the unique find was x-rayed and it was found that in its structure it most closely resembles... a car spark plug, although, as experts have established, not a single plant in the entire history of mankind has produced such a spark plug. Geologists, in turn, based on fossilized turtles, determined the age of this unique find - at least 500 thousand years...

In April 2002, the magazine “Itogi” published an article by Stepan Krivosheev and Dmitry Plenkin, which talked about the amazing discovery of Bashkir scientists. In 1999, on July 21, Alexander Chuvyrov, a professor at the Bashkir State University, found the first fragment of an amazing, three-dimensional map, applied to a base made of durable stone - dolomite. But the main success was not so much in the discovery of the stone map, but in the fact that the found fragment depicted an area well known to scientists. Only thanks to this happy coincidence of circumstances was it possible to identify the find as a map. Professor A. Chuvyrov explains the following:

“...The Ufa Upland is easily recognizable, and the Ufa Canyon is the most important point of our evidence, since we carried out geological surveys and found its trace where it should be, according to the ancient map... the Ufa Canyon is clearly visible - a fault in the earth’s crust, stretching from Ufa to Sterlitamak. At the moment, the Urshak River flows through the former canyon. Here she is…"

The stone map is clearly of artificial origin and was made using technology unknown to modern science. Very durable dolomite was used as the base. A layer of so-called is applied to it. “diopside glass”, the processing technology of which is still unknown to science. It is on this layer that the volumetric relief of the area is reproduced. This means that the terrain seems to be sculpted from plasticine in the right proportions, i.e. on a certain scale, not only the lengths and widths are shown, but also the depths of rivers, streams, canals, gorges, heights of hills, etc.

The current level of development of science and technology does not allow us to accurately determine the profile of the bottom of rivers and other bodies of water filled with water. We don't know how to do this yet! But our ancestors, who created the stone map, knew how! Moreover, some American scientists (where would we be without them) who studied the map claim that the creation of such a map requires processing huge amounts of data that can only be obtained by aerospace photography!

In addition to the rivers, two systems of canals with a width of 500 meters, 12 dams with a width of 300–500 meters, up to 10 kilometers long and 3 kilometers deep each are depicted. It is very interesting how scientists form their conclusions about the age of the find. At first, says Professor A. Chuvyrov, they assumed that the stone was about three thousand years old. Then this number was gradually increased until they identified some fossilized shells embedded in the stone, and decided that the product was tens of millions of years old. Here scientists are certainly right: the stone used as the basis for the map can be many years old. Even billions! But this doesn’t mean anything. Today, monuments are also made from stone blocks of granite and marble, which can be millions of years old, but no one claims that products made from them also have an equally venerable age. This is obvious to almost everyone.

Why are scientists ready to support obvious fictions about the age of the unique stone map?

Or maybe all this is “far-fetched” and there is nothing supernatural here?

Jade discs: a puzzle for archaeologists

In ancient China, around 5000 BC, large stone discs made of jade were placed in the graves of local nobles. Their purpose, as well as the manufacturing method, still remains a mystery to scientists, because jade is a very durable stone.

Sabu's Disc: The Unsolved Mystery of Egyptian Civilization

The mystical ancient artifact, believed to be part of an unknown mechanism, was found by Egyptologist Walter Bryan in 1936 while examining the tomb of Mastaba Sabu, who lived around 3100 - 3000 BC. The burial place is located near the village of Sakkara.

The artifact is a regular round thin-walled stone plate made of meta-silt (metasilt in Western terminology), with three thin edges bent towards the center and a small cylindrical sleeve in the middle. In places where the edge petals bend towards the center, the circumference of the disk continues with a thin rim of circular cross-section about a centimeter in diameter. The diameter is approximately 70cm, the circle shape is not ideal. This plate raises a number of questions, both about the unclear purpose of such an item, and about the method by which it was made, since it has no analogues.

It is quite possible that five thousand years ago the Saba disk had some important role. However, at the moment, scientists cannot accurately determine its purpose and complex structure. The question remains open.

For the past few decades, miners in South Africa have been digging up mysterious metal balls. These balls of unknown origin are approximately an inch (2.54 cm) in diameter, and some of them are engraved with three parallel lines running along the axis of the object. Two types of balls were found: one consisting of a hard bluish metal with white spots, and another empty from the inside and filled with a white spongy substance. Interestingly, the rock in which they were discovered dates back to the Precambrian period and dates back 2.8 billion years! Who made these spheres and why remains a mystery.

His height is 12 feet 2 inches (3.7 m.), chest girth is 6 feet 6 inches (2 m.), arm length is 4 feet 6 inches (1.4 m.). It is noteworthy that his right hand has 6 fingers.

The six fingers and toes resemble the people mentioned in the Bible (2nd book of Samuel): “There was also a battle in Gath; and there was one tall man there, who had six fingers and six toes, making a total of twenty-four.”

In the late 1950s, during road construction in southeastern Turkey in the Euphrates Valley, a number of burial sites with gigantic remains were excavated. In two, femurs about 120 centimeters long were found. Joe Taylor, director of the Fossil Museum in Crosbyton, Texas, USA, carried out the reconstruction. The owner of a femur of this size had a height of about 14-16 feet (about 5 meters) and a foot size of 20-22 inches (almost half a meter!). When walking, his fingers were 6 feet above the ground.

Huge human footprint

This footprint was found near Glen Rose, Texas in the Palaxy River. The length of the print is 35.5 cm and the width is almost 18 cm. Paleontologists say that the print is female. The study showed that the person who left such a print was about three meters tall.

In 1974, an aluminum wedge coated with a thick layer of oxide was found on the banks of the Maros River, which is located near the city of Ayud in Transylvania. It is noteworthy that it was found among the remains of a mastodon, which are 20 thousand years old. Usually they find aluminum with admixtures of other metals, but the wedge was made of pure aluminum.

It is impossible to find an explanation for this find, since aluminum was discovered only in 1808, and began to be produced in industrial quantities only in 1885. The wedge is still being studied in some secret place.

Rediscovered in a Turkish museum in 1929, this map is a mystery not only because of its amazing accuracy, but also because of what it depicts.

Painted on the skin of a gazelle, the Piri Reis map is the only surviving part of a larger map. It was compiled in the 1500s, according to the inscription on the map itself, from other maps of the year 300. But how is this possible if the map shows:

South America, precisely located in relation to Africa - The western coasts of North Africa and Europe, and the eastern coast of Brazil - Most striking is the continent partially visible far to the South, where we know Antarctica is, although it was not discovered until 1820. Even more puzzling is that it is depicted in detail and without ice, even though this land mass has been covered in ice for at least six thousand years.

Ancient springs, screws and metal

They are similar to items you would find in any workshop's scrap bin.

It is obvious that these artifacts were made by someone. However, this collection of springs, loops, spirals and other metal objects was discovered in layers of sedimentary rock that are one hundred thousand years old! At that time, foundries were not very common.

Thousands of these things—some as small as a thousandth of an inch! – were discovered by gold miners in the Ural Mountains of Russia in the 1990s. Unearthed at depths of 3 to 40 feet, in layers of earth dating back to the upper Pleistocene period, these mysterious objects may have been created some 20,000 to 100,000 years ago.

A large treasure trove of ancient artifacts was discovered by an expedition led by Elias Sotomayor in 1984. In the Ecuadorian La Mana mountain range, 300 stone artifacts were discovered in a tunnel at a depth of over ninety meters.

One of the oldest globes on Earth, also made of stone, was also discovered in the La Mana tunnel. On the far from perfect ball, the craftsman may have simply spared effort in making it, but the round boulder bears images of continents familiar from school days.

But if many of the outlines of the continents differ little from modern ones, then from the coast of Southeast Asia towards America the planet looks completely different. Huge masses of land are depicted where now only a boundless sea splashes.

The Caribbean islands and the Florida peninsula are completely absent. Just below the equator in the Pacific Ocean there is a gigantic island, approximately equal in size to modern Madagascar. Modern Japan is part of a giant continent that extends to the shores of America and extends far to the south. It remains to add that the find in La Mana is apparently the oldest map of the world.

Ancient jade service for 12 persons

Sotomayor's other findings are no less interesting. In particular, a “service” of thirteen bowls was discovered. Twelve of them have a perfectly equal volume, and the thirteenth is much larger. If you fill 12 small bowls with liquid to the brim, and then pour them into a large one, then it will be filled exactly to the brim. All bowls are made of jade. The purity of their processing suggests that the ancients had a stone processing technology similar to a modern lathe.

So far, Sotomayor's findings raise more questions than they answer. But they once again confirm the thesis that our information about the history of the Earth and humanity is still very far from perfect.

Recently, the famous researcher of ancient civilizations Ernst Muldashev returned from his next, 17th expedition. This time he and his colleagues visited the Kola Peninsula. Their goal was to discover traces of Bigfoot and German “flying saucers” there, as well as to unravel the mystery of “whethering” - an art that local shamans have long mastered.

Muldashev failed to meet the Bigfoot, rumored to live here, and find traces of the production of German “flying saucers”. But otherwise, as he told the press, the expedition was quite successful.

The scientist claims that during his travels he was able to find evidence of the existence of early earthly civilizations that preceded the current one. According to Muldashev, there were four of them.
The first race on Earth were the so-called asuras (“self-born”). They had a truly gigantic height - about 50 meters, were luminous ethereal forms and communicated with each other telepathically. Presumably, the asuras came to Earth from the planet Phaeton, which was destroyed as a result of some kind of catastrophe.

The civilization of asuras lived on Earth for about 10 million years, and the life of each of them lasted tens of thousands of years... Gradually, in the process of evolution, they mutated and a new race with more dense bodies was formed. Its representatives were called Atlanteans (“born after”), or “boneless.” The Atlanteans were also much larger than modern humans, but were still smaller than the Asuras and had a third eye located between the eyebrows.

In parallel, a fourth race began to form on our planet - the late Atlanteans, or “Boreans”. They still had a well-hidden third eye, but the rest of the organs were not much different from ordinary human ones, and their height was “only” 3-4 meters.
About 25,000-30,000 years ago, a nuclear disaster happened on Earth. The reason for it was supposedly the conflict between two races - the Lemurians and the Atlanteans. As a result of the ensuing series of global cataclysms, some of the Lemurians went into caves, where they fell into a state of “samadhi”, in which bodies can be stored indefinitely in a “preserved” state, and then return to life again. Some left the Earth on spaceships.

Ancient manuscripts and finds tell us about previous civilizations, indicating that the Earth was once inhabited by giants who had extensive knowledge in various fields. By the way, Muldashev claims that during an expedition to the Himalayas he found a cave where the ancestors of humanity, the Lemurians, sleep in a state of “samadhi”. The Kola Peninsula is supposedly the ancestral home of the modern “Aryan” race - Hyperborea.

Soon Muldashev plans to go to the east of Mongolia, and from there to the west towards Russia... The new expedition will be called “In the Footsteps of Genghis Khan”. The scientist plans to repeat the path of the legendary conqueror in order to better understand the pattern of development and integration of Eastern and Western civilizations.
