“In general, being socially responsible is beneficial. The effect is approximately the same as from the practical application of the well-known “theory of reasonable egoism.” Do you follow the laws and pay your taxes on time? This means that you won’t have to master the profession of a seamstress and sew mittens in Krasnokamensk. Do you not deceive your business partners, do you comply with written and unwritten agreements? This is, in fact, an investment in reputation, which sooner or later is converted into profit. Do you treat your workforce well and pay them a decent salary? They will repay you with effective work and will not abandon you at a difficult moment.”

The concept of freedom has historically been viewed from different perspectives. Everyone remembers that there is an understanding of freedom as anarchy, or, on the contrary, as a conscious necessity. Freedom of choice presupposes the presence of alternatives. A free state is associated with pluralism and democracy. What is economic freedom?

This concept presupposes that a person has the right to decide independently what activity to choose, whether to work for hire or engage in entrepreneurship. In addition, we can freely choose products and give preference to one manufacturer or another.

Thanks to this duality, society develops and also maintains its stability. We can say that economic freedom and social responsibility are inseparable concepts.

At the moment, it is understood not only as taking into account the needs of other people and their economic interests. This concept extends to which is the source of raw materials, and, as a result, profit.

Over the past many years, the irrational use of resources has led to a sharp deterioration in environmental quality. For a long time, entrepreneurs were considered people who would stop at nothing to make a profit, and the concept of “ecology” was an empty phrase for them.

However, at present there is a serious need for changes in relation to use. Unfortunately, in our country the level of understanding of the consequences of uncontrolled exploitation of raw material sources is still very low.

So, economic freedom is possible only in a society where there is developed social responsibility, the scope of which includes not only respecting the economic interests of other people, but also caring for nature, which is a source of raw materials and the basis for the development of the economy of any country.
